Two Rite Aid Pharmacies in Jersey City are now administering COVID-19 vaccines. The Rite Aid at 2859 Kennedy Blvd. (near the JSQ PATH station) and the Rite Aid at 981 West Side Avenue are both administering the vaccine to eligible residents. You can schedule an appoint at either location via the Rite Aid vaccine website.

Just keep in mind that due to the high demand, all appointments are currently booked. Your best bet is to keep trying until more appointments are released.

Alternatively, Jersey City’s new vaccine appointment center is now live. You can schedule a COVID-19 vaccine through the city by calling (201) 547-5688. You can call during the hours of 9am through 5pm seven days a week.

Mayor Steven Fulop recently said that the city has been getting from 300 to 700 doses per week. The number is expected to increase to about 1,000 doses this week.

  1. I am a working healthcare worker (RN) and over 65 years old. And, it is appalling to me that I cant be vaccinated. Yet I know of people half my age getting vaccinated left and right. Nobody had a hard time finding me last March when nurses were needed!

    • Ana, they are giving vaccines to healthcare workers at all the hospitals, Jcmc, Christ and Hoboken. Call any of them and ask to get on the list, they usually get back to you in a few days with an appointment. Most healthcare workers got them in December or January, but it’s not too late, you are still priority. Email me if you don’t succeed, I can give you more details.
